María del Pilar Gutierrez Jimenez was born in Mijas, Málaga. She is happiliy married and has a son.

She has always been a self-driven learner and has been painting for more than 20 years.

She started painting because her husband moved to Velez Malaga for work reasons. There she met Mari Carmen who was an apprentice of the painter Antonio Valdés.

María del Pilar has several exhibitions in Velez Malaga, Torre del Mar and Málaga.

Student at the Academy of Painting Lola Pelaez.
