Danielle O'Connor Akiyama Art Paintings
available now in Marbella, Málaga on the Costa del Sol

Canadian by descent and now resides there with her Japanese husband and two children, therefore her art is very much a fusion of East meets West.

Artistic parentage.

Studied art therapy (hence her understanding of psychology which has had a profound influence in her images).

Her flowers began as accurate portrayals, but as her style developed have become representations (‘emblems’ says Danielle’) of personalities, emotions or experiences.

Original paintings are inspired by her extensive travel to all seven continents.

Winner: President’s Choice Award, Florence Biennale, 2009 Winner: Major Art Award, Fine Art Trade Guild, 2011

Major Book Release: Cataloguing the life and works of this award winning artist

Rigorous 3 year course in the discipline of Sumi-e (which is Japanese brush painting and literally means ‘black ink’), She was awarded the Masters Seal. Her Japanese red chop mark, a trademark in all her paintings is Chisha (which means ‘source of joy’) is bestowed by the head sensei.
